Oaks III Settlement 7-2011

Tampa, FL. (July, 2011) – The Oaks III Condominium Association located in Tampa, FL has reached a settlement for $750,000 with Arrow Exterminators, Inc. d/b/a Hughes- All Pro Exterminators. The settlement results from a lawsuit filed by Cardillo Law Firm on behalf of The Oaks that alleged breach of contract and violation of the Structural Pest Control Act, a Florida law that protects consumers. The settlement primarily covers repair costs. Cardillo was able to show that damages resulted from the exterminator’s failure to properly treat and repair the resulting damage as required by the contract. The condominium association spent $1.1 million to fix termite damage so severe that the building authorities were threatening condemnation.
